5 out of 5 stars maybe better than pills

MY DOCTOR RECOMMENDED THIS BOOK AND I'M JUST IN THE FIRST HALF AND ALREADY IMPRESSED. THIS MAY BE THE THING THAT GETS ME OVER THE HUMP, OFF MEDS, AND GOODBYE REPEDITIVE DEPRESSIONS! I HONESTLY HAVE HOPE OF SEEING THE LIGHT AT THE END OF THE TUNNEL. I RECOMMEND THIS IN CONJUNCTION WITH COUNSELING WITH THE RIGHT PSYCH; MINE'S GREAT.

5 out of 5 stars Must Buy!

Great book to read and review a few times, then pass it on to other people.

5 out of 5 stars Exceptionally helpful

There are MANY "self-help" books available today. It seems that everyone has an opinion on how we "should" feel and how to get there. Dr. Burns brings truly useful and in-depth knowledge to topics like: depression and anxiety. This is a very useful book! There are explanations, helpful exercises, and plenty of humor along the way. Even if you are not currently suffering from any of the situations this book covers, you probably have, or will one day.

If you want down-to-earth help without tons of psycho-babble and impractical advise you will find it here in, "Feeling Good: The New Mood Therapy."

3 out of 5 stars Interesting

An interesting book. Having never tried Cognitive Therapy before I find that it has helped me look at problems differently. It was a hard read for me since I don't find all of the statistics helpful, just a hinderance. Take from it what you need and leave the rest!

5 out of 5 stars Excellent and Workable

An excellent read on C.B.T. Although I do not take the same position as it's author (i.e. ruling out Conventional Psychology altogether). I found his approach extremely helpful and workable.
