5 out of 5 stars Good, easy to follow manual

This book offers clear, concise ideas on how to improve your websites search placement. The author shows a few changes to a website that can really help with placement, but there are many other ideas as well that have a tremendous impact. I have spent very little time implementing his ideas, and it moved my website up substantially.

4 out of 5 stars SEO for Dummies helped this Dummy

5 out of 5 stars It's worth the money

A simple and an understandable book on SEO.It's worth the money.Would recommend it to everyone.

4 out of 5 stars Every website owner must buy this book!

I bought this book to learn what I couldnt afford my web guy to do for me. My website was not generating much traffic and I thought it was a lack of good key words.

Here's what I learned in the first 3 chapters: By looking at the source code on my site as instructed by the book to do for basic elements I found:
My web pages beyond the home page had no title, description or key words! And more disturbing, my web guys business info was listed in the top area of every page where my page description and key words are supposed to go! I also learned I was not listed in an important directory, which I was able to do myself in 10 minutes.

I am hopping mad at my web guy and looking for a new one! BUY THE BOOK!

5 out of 5 stars Review by Holly Crosgrey of Peter Ken'ts SEO for Dummies

I am new at search engine optimization and needed a reference to help me get it right the first time. I bought Peter Kent's book because he has alot of knowledge on Wordtracker and I wanted to understand that completely. I am very pleased with this book and the many tips and tricks he passes on. The book contained much much more information than I had anticipated it would. Peter gets down to the basics and really explains how things work online. I will be using Peter's book as a resource for some time to come since it is packed full of information that will take me some time to digest and make use of. I had the opportunity to write Peter Kent. The impression I get of Peter Kent from his book and other resources I have seen is that he is an honest man who wants to let the newbie learn how to do search engine optimization the right way. The book is on its third version and I would suggest to anyone that they buy the latest version of the book rather than an other version since the internet world changes quickly. This would be a recommendation for any book on any type of internet marketing.
