Marvellous Marc
I have definitely had my money's worth out of this text. Marc Brown's sister is a teacher so this is a well written resource for teachers. Arthur is such a lovable and real character so the children just adore reading his books and doing the activities. The 2 activities that were the best in my opinion were the 'Thanksgiving' reader's theater and the activity where the students write their own Arthur style story - the activity was really well scaffolded. I used this with a class of Year 1 and 2 children and they wrote fab stories.
