Preachy rather than constructive
I am very much a student of the Mayan Calendar and the events forthcoming in 2012, as well as being very involved in the spiritual growth and preparation of not only myself, but others. Based on reviews, I eagerly anticipated Andrew Smith's work. When I read it, however, I found it convoluted, preachy, and frequently obscure. While this work may be clear to those on exactly the same wavelength as Mr. Smith, for the average student he is not clear. That lack of clarity, combined with the use of overly (and unnecessarily) complex paragraphs which sound intellectual and say little, leave me unwilling to recommend this work to my students. There are many works available now dealing with 2012, some of which are very worthwhile. For those who find it useful, more power to you. For the remainder, save your money.

I was extremely pleased to see how this author treated my own insights and personal focus on the 5-D state-of-sight in era-2012. As this new vision will allow us to see the inner reaches of outer space, multi-dimensionally, shamanically. Thus, to see in this whole new way will determnine who in fact can survive the pole shift. Otherwise it will indeed be the case of the blind leading the dumb, again.
That is, what is not being said is that Solar Cycle 24 is as much about opening our third eye as it is global cataclysm. Although that is clearly the "flyby in the ointment" of our convergence with Planet X, but as I say as well, that is what triggers the shift of the ages and turns apes in angels, or, if you prefer, asphalt-bound city-dwellers into shamans!

Eleventh hour opportunity?
This book anticipates a new age of Fifth Dimensional living in which competition and exploitation have been replaced by inclusiveness and cooperation with nature. At the 2012 winter solstice the Earth's pole will shift causing major physical plane disruption and forcing individuals to look to their own personal resources in order to survive. Survival will depend on a spirit of cooperation between individuals and groups but, unlike in previous disasters, there will be no return to competition and exploitation once the situation stabilises. The force behind the physical plane changes is the evolution of the Earth itself and those who cannot or will not accept the new paradigm will find it increasingly difficult to operate as before and will eventually be removed to an evolution more suited to their state of development. Those who wish to remain with the Earth will need to find ways, in the remaining few years, of opening their Heart Centres in order to qualify as members of the New Humanity. This demands group work, and/or spiritual exercises as part of an esoteric group.
Survival of the initial disaster is a matter of organisation and the pooling of skills and resources. New sustainable communities will have to be built on suitable land using the new age techniques which have quietly evolved in the preceding years. The author is, with our help, working on this and gives contact information in the book. This is the first of three volumes by this author on the same subject and, as there is very little time left for us to get organised, I suspect the others will follow PDQ.
