The School Psycholoy Licensure Exam Guide
The School psychology Licensure Exam Guide is a perfect study for the National Association of School psychology exam. I would recommend this book to all of my classmates. The cost of the book was also reasonable.

Great for simple, low stress prep
I'm an Ed.S level school psychologist who has been practicing in public schools for three years now. I purchased this book when I took the Praxis for School Psychology in 2006. I'm not sure how the test may have changed since then, but this book was a quick and simple way to prepare for the Praxis. I've never been a big fan of big study prep books, especially for content areas. If you've taken two years of graduate courses to prepare for a career in school psychology and aren't ready for the Praxis, no book is going to change that for you now. What this book does well is outline the major areas covered on the Praxis, such as ethics and evaluation, so you can identify what areas might be particular areas of personal weakness which will allow you to target what areas you should be brushing up on. The sample test in the back was probably my favorite part of the book, as it allowed me to get an idea of what to expect as far as the style of questions on the Praxis, which is very helpful since there weren't very many study guides for the School Psychology Praxis exam when I took it.
Very Informative Guide
This book was very helpful in preparing for the Praxis II: School Psychology Test. It not only gave general studying guidelines, but also went through bullet points of all of the most important information to study for each section of the test. The only drawback is that it is a little dated since a new version of this test just came out last year. However, the test sections are similar enough that it still provides a very comprehensive overview of what you need to know. It also includes a practice test at the end!
Educator
I was very disappointed with this book. I provided little more than a handout. Book description given online was very misleading.
Helpful
I took the Praxis in March, 2008, and passed well above the NCSP score. The actual test was harder than the study guide, having 5 answer choices rather than 4. The study guide is more skewed towards parental involvement while the version of the Praxis I took was heavily behavioral. I hear that every version is different so still study everything and use flashcards! For the price of this little book it was well worth it.
