I LOVE zombies, but I didn't like this book
This book starts off very cool. The artwork in the first half is amazing and you can enjoy just looking at the zombies being killed. The scenarios it presents for survival horror are very cool. HOWEVER, the dialogue is AWFUL, completely "on the nose." The love interests are forced into it and become the main thrust of the story rather than survival. I don't care about boy meets girl when the world is overrun by zombies. It became like watching the OC. Overall, well plotted, but terribly written, and the artwork changes so it becomes not even interesting to look at in the second half.
Great comic book! for zombie lovers and comic fans alike
to start off this is my first comic book i actually bought and to say i was a little hesitant to buy but as soon as i started i couldn't put it down until i finished it and i got to say this was a great zombie,horror, action comic book, the book seems to draw bits and pieces from other zombie movies and adds its own flavor into the mix and it mostly draws on the more dramatic side of surviving in a zombie infested world and shows the thoughts and mind sets of each character also it ends in a spectacular hanger at the end and now i have to buy the next book cant wait!
The Walking Read
At Last a graphic novel that has high quality art and story. Gory, Gutsy and balck and white but dont let any of that put you off. Intelligently written, interesting characters and an ongoing story line with incendiary sub plots to keep the reader entertained. The books are very cinematic and would make an exciting, alternative TV series. Printed on high quality stock in hard cover with original colour cover art work included, at a very reasonable price. A zombie book adults will not be ashamed to own. Walk with a Zombie today.
a "Zombie movie fans" MUST HAVE
ITs an excellent graphic novel. the ending is a little sudden but they make up for it with 2 more books and also the art kinda worsens throughout this book its starts out awesome but then ends up crappy..its all white and black also.but its the best series I've ever read...if you liked 28 days later and diary of the dead please Purchase this ENTIRE series you WILL not regret it
If your a zombie enthusiast, don't pass this up!!
I've never liked graphic novels; I came across this in a hunt for good zombie stories and another reviewer emphasized the importance of not prejudging it because it's a comic, that it had a great story line that rivals any zombie book out there and, comic fan or not, you should get this series. I'm glad I did, the person was right- if you're into zombie stories, don't pass this one over just because it's a comic!
