The Wizard of Oz and other Narcissists
If you have in your work, love, and/or family life individuals who are literally impossible, you need to read this book. With these people, you might always find yourself struggling. The book will help you understand why they always blame you, why are they attacking your virtues and not your faults, why is it difficult for them to ever appreciate and compliment you, why do they have this sense of entitlement, who do they think they are, why do they have no regard for your rights and feelings, why does it seem that they want to control your thoughts, feelings, and actions? It will help you see how they manipulate you in insidious ways.
You find out that you have been manipulated only after the fact. You will understand what brings them to that unexpected rage especially when you have no idea what did you do? You will also learn how to protect yourself from these emotional vampires. They drain you. At times, talking to them is like hitting your head against a wall. They always have to be right and you are always wrong no matter what. The book is an eye-opener. I finished it in one sitting. It was difficult to put it aside, each page kept on shedding light on the many unformulated questions I had about folks I found frustrating and difficult to get along with. I experienced several Aha moments. Eleanor, Thank you for writing this book. You have done a great service to humanity.
Umm...that book
Read twice...Excellent book. You learn how to stop "double binders" in there tracks, GOD willing. Learn how to reintroduce a "one sided" conversation without coming out "victimized". Incredible book. Peace

The author begins with a wonderful introduction explaining a narcissist and where the termilogoy originated. A wonderful comparison with the story of Dorothy and The Wizard of Oz. This book is well written in a style which is easy to understand.
Enlightening
I highly recommend this book to anyone searching to understand the narcissistic relationship they may be in. I have been at a loss to understand my own and how I could have fallen into this type of relationship. I think this book was written about our marriage! Now, after gaining insight into the narcissistic / co-dependent narcissist relationship, I understand totally how we "clicked" in the beginning and how after a few years he became dominating and I became the doormat. Now, armed with this information, my husband and I are on a wonderful journey together to separately heal each of our hearts from the past so that we may come back together in a healed, strong, equal and respectful marriage. I pray this is a journey many of you out there experience as well. God bless.
Best book ever on psychopaths/narcissists
Having escaped a marriage with a narcissist/psychopath, I've read a number of books on the subject. This book wins hands down. I gave it to my friend, and she swears it taught her how to deal with her difficult boss.
