Inspiring Book
I found this to be a very interesting book about a family torn apart by a husband's addiction to pornography. Based on a true story, the book begins with the couple's first date and continues through their 14 years or so of marriage. It describes many struggles that the couple endures because of the husband's dishonesty about his addiction to pornography and sex. In the end you come to appreciate the courage displayed by the wife, and you also understand that, after many hard decisions and choices, there can be a happy ending for a family torn apart by pornography and lies.
Porn is destroying our nation
I think the number one cause of our inexorable descent into destruction is caused by the breakdown in our morals both as a culture and as individuals. I read the book called "Torn Apart" by Diony George.
Very good, well written, heartfelt, non-fiction book in novel form about how porn destroyed her family. Made me think about the total breakdown of values, decency and morality we are undergoing. I am sure her experiences are not the exception but more the norm. God has been kicked out of our schools and replaced with indoctrination by the state. Immorality is everywhere and accepted as the norm. Porn is everywhere and easily accessible by anyone who wants it.
The family is the root of our society, or used to be. Now it is under attack from all sides and the traditional "american" family is almost a thing of the past. Debt, taxes, inflation, and pornography are destroying the family unit. Not sure how much time we have left before we get past the point of return just like the romans. Our empire is collapsing and we are under assault from all sides.
So many things we need to fight against it is almost overwhelming.
I fear for what my kids will grow up to endure.
This book illustrates the problem and how destructive porn can be to the family unit, which is the backbone of a strong society. It is truly sad how devastating and wide reaching the effects of an addiction to porn can be. It is most definitely not a victim-less thing as so many claim. A good read and a sobering look at an ever-increasing scourge on our society.

When reading this book, the fact that pornography is an exponentially growing business making billions of dollars shouldn't be the only thing taken into account, but also that this incredibly widespread 'business' threatens the day to day happiness of a functional family.
Torn Apart offers real emotion at the most basic level in dealing with a situation that can literally tear your world apart and turn it completely upside down. Told through the eyes of a valiant woman, the narration and experience offers insight into how to deal with the adversity resulting from this addiction. The true story not only goes into the shocking secrets that are initially revealed that change everything, but also into how a strong woman can pick up the pieces and look forward with hope, to create a stable and happy family again for her, and her children.
Powerful, Heart Wrenching Yet Hopeful
Torn Apart is an honest story. The character's soul is opened up to the world and we see the pain that pornography and sexual addiction can cause a family. We wonder, "Are there any good men in the world?" and after reading Torn Apart we can answer with a resounding "Yes!"
This book is informative, as it is based on truth. It shows at a personal level, how pornography is not a harmless pastime, but a real threat to harmonious family living, and true bonds of love and devotion. If anything, read this to understand how incrementally, yet horribly devastating, pornography can destroy the happiest of families.

Torn Apart is a story that anyone who has faced a sexual addiction - either that of a loved one or their own - should read.
