Editorial Reviews:

The collected works of Britain?s most wanted artist.

Artistic genius, political activist, painter and decorator, mythic legend or notorious graffiti artist? The work of Banksy is unmistakable (except maybe when it?s squatting in the New York?s Metropolitan Museum or Museum of Modern Art.) Banksy is responsible for decorating the streets, walls, bridges and zoos of towns and cites throughout the world.

Witty and subversive, his stencils show monkeys with weapons of mass destruction, policeman with smiley faces, rats with drills and umbrellas. If you look hard enough you?ll find your own. His statements, incitements, ironies and epigrams are by turns intelligent and witty comments on everything from the monarchy and capitalism to the war in Iraq and farm animals.

His identity remains unknown, but his work is prolific. And now for the first time, he?s putting together the best of his work?old and new?in a fully illustrated color volume.

Banksy, real name unknown, was born in Bristol, England.

5 out of 5 stars Real Art

This is a book full of real art for every man to enjoy, not a few canvases purchased by the rich who decided it was art because it matched their couch. This is art that expresses real everyday emotions and beliefs. I hadn't heard of Banksy before buying this for myself for Christmas, no I'm a forever fan.

5 out of 5 stars Brilliant!

This book is amazing, intriguing and never gets old. I pick it up constantly and always show other people. It makes a GREAT coffee table book for anyone who likes art.. or graffiti.

5 out of 5 stars Banksy

A friend showed me this book and I loved it. Its a sample of the off-the-wall artwork from a groundbreaking artist. He mostly works with graffiti around London, but employs other clever mediums as well. I highly recommend this book for personal enjoyment or as a gift.

5 out of 5 stars Great gift idea

I bought the hardback copy for my teenage son. He's followed Banksy's work for years. It's a nice addition to his library and makes for a nice gift.

4 out of 5 stars Top shelf picture book

I ummed and errhed about buying this book for over a year, looking through the pages when I found it in a bookshop. Now own it I'm not yet tired of looking through the pages for inspiration.
