Super Reader
Ron Goulart's Gypsy character is back, but I am missing the middle installment or novel, and it looks that it is something that actually might matter, here. The other thing is that there is a lot of satire here, and not so much superhero, sort of a cross perhaps between Barb Wire, Logan's Run and the Mojoworld for a rough comparison. However, given 1977 is when this book is written, that won't resonate so much.
Somewhat light on the superheroics, as Gypsy is not sure of who he is or what he can do, and neither is anyone else in this odd future.
