Blue Defeats Her Boredom
"What to Do, Blue?" finds Blue feeling a bit sad because she doesn't have anything to do. Even her friend, Steve, is busy, so she can't play a game of Blue's Clues. Blue decides to observe her friends and then tries playing all of the same things that they are. She discovers her own way to fight her boredom --- something that entertains everyone else as well.
In this second "Blue's Clues" story, the focus shifts to Blue and her point-of-view, rather than on the traditional idea of playing a game of Blue's Clues with Steve. It's an interesting idea and something that's explored in various ways in future books in the series. Blue finds a great solution to her problem and shows kids how they can too.
The book's opening note states that the book was made specifically to show a side of Blue never seen before on the television show.
Blue is bored
Steve is on the phone (and never appears in the book). Everyone is busy. Blue is bored. She sees what everyone else is doing and tries doing the activities herself, and ultimately discovers what it is she really wants to do. Typical, colorful, all the animated characters are here. Nicely done.
Daughter loves it
My daughter loves the sory and as a parent I like the idea that is teaches you should find something to do instead of moping around. Good Story -- We need a new one because we as the other reviewers have worn ours out
Good story
My two year old loved this book! We wore out the pages reading it over and over again. Now my son is coloring and trying to draw a story too.
Keeps 'em entranced!
I bought this book for my 20 month old, who adores Blue. It reads very well, and the colors and characters keep him entranced. Could be a few pages longer though, and no Steve in this one!
